OPAM

I liked the post on Tara's website today. I won't go into too much detail, but she was talking about her idea of doing one project a month.

I like this idea.

I guess I put way too much pressure on myself in terms of trying to get things done. And then what I end up doing is barely keeping up with all the day to day stuff. The bigger projects seem to always get left, as I am left with no time. So I'm going to try and take this idea of OPAM - One Project a Month.

The first project for May? Getting rid off all that clutter finally, be it carboot, ebay, charity or recycling. Lets see how it goes......

Goat?

The Prayer of the Goat by Carmen Bernos De Gasztold

Lord,
Let me live as I will!
I need a litte wild freedom,
a little giddiness of heart.
The strange taste of unknown flowers.
For whom else are your mountains?
Your snow wind? These springs?
The sheep do not understand.
They graze and graze.
All of them, and all in the same direction.
And then eternally chew the cud of their insipid routine.
But I - I love to bound to the heart of all your marvels.
Leap your chasms, and, my mouth filled with intoxicating grasses,
Quiver with an adventurer's delight
On the summit of the world!
Amen

My new home

I spent my first proper day up at the studio today. Its home already! The other artists there are all pretty friendly, and I have had lots of people telling me they saw my exhibition and were impressed with it. The pottery guy lights a fire in the wood burner, so there is a lovely wood smoke smell. Its fab up there and I love it!

And the location is pretty special too. I have found my home, and its going to be great in the summer. So good to be a proper part of the local art scene now, It all feels full of potential now I will be able to forge links with more local artists and establish myself. Its exciting
